Talent is always conscious of its own abundance,
and does not object to sharing.

Moon Phase: Full Moon,
Music: You Get What You Give by New Radicals
The latest entry of is one that I've been debating for three year. Imagine being 17 and having a vision of being in the cockpit
of a Air Force Fighter plane just before it crashes. Posting what you vaguely remember on your website. Then, then nearly
40 years after the crash the pilot contacts you.
I've finally posted the correspondence we had regarding the crash, psychic abilities and the curvature of the earth.
And as a post script, just things going on in my life. I sent my first manuscript to the publishers. Witch me luck.

Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent Moon, 1 day old
Music: Kings of Leon
I've been working for the past several months to clean up the website. I've taken down some pages that I promised to fill because,
frankly, Lammas has never been one of my family holidays. I live in a desert. Harvest doesn't come on August 1. August 1 is the
dead of summer in the Mojave. We don't even begin to cool off until mid-September. And I understand the metaphorical Wheel of the Year
but I don't live in England and my seasons just don't match. I am a nature love and nature worshipper and I am bound by the beauty and
magick of the land I am bound to. So. No Lammas ritual. No Equinox rituals.
I've been looking at my Lexicon for year and realize it could be a book unto itself. I'm thinking of stripping it down to make it
a reasonable size.
Mostly I've wanted to work on my Magickal Records. I've spent so much time cleaning up my history pages, the present pages have now
become history. And some really intense and amazing experiences have happened to me since I began this website that need to be
shared.
One of those history pages has been me wanted to write about one of the pilots who were in one of my visionary plane crashes. The Air Force
plane crash in 1967. The pilot contacted me regarding the crash. It was an amazing exchange. As much as I wanted to share this
astonishing experience, I didn't want to intrude on him. I didn't want to use his tragedy to enhance my image. It was truly an ethics
lesson on clairvoyance being voyeurism. Then my computer crashed and I'd thought I'd lost them. Manannan recovered them and they have
been sitting in a folder on my desk top for probably a year. Well, I'm writing that story now.
Then I may tackle my Lexicon.

Moon Phase: First Crescent
Music: Rama Raghava by Jai Uttal
As I write the phase of the moon above, I am suddenly aware of the many moon phases that have passed
between us since I updated my website last. I see the moon as rapidly changing from one phase to another
like time-lapsed photography. And I wonder where the days and nights have gone over the past two years.
So much has happened since my last update. The book is in the editing stage. Yes it is taking too long
to write and my deadline to finish is December...or earlier if Fate is with me. I haven't even begun to
solicite publishers. It is a massive work. One hundred and twenty essays of 2 to 5 pages each on subjects
of Self, Magick, Religion and Spirituality. I will petitition craft publishers first. My dream has always bee to
publish with Llewellyn. I'm just going to magickally...start at the top.
Also taking the better part of each day is my husband's career as an artist. We opened a gallery in February
and have been publically showing for three years in the Las Vegas area. Success is exhausting. And I feel the
thankless child for the blessing of the past seven years which has allowed us to exhaust ourselves persuing
our dreams.
I will try to do better on the website.

Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent
Music: It's a restless 4:30 in the morning...so...no music
Is it June already? I have been banging away at not one book but four books. Four hundred pages and growing
of insight and issues, questions and answers, comparisons and contrasts for fledgling pagans and witches
who have read enough to find themselves lost in the philosophy mist. I'm thinking of turning it into four books
of about 250 pages each. Then there are two more after these I want to write.
It has a title now. It's pretentious and aspiring but until an editor or publisher tells me otherwise,
it will be titled Legacy. With perhaps a subtitle of: One hundred years of wisdom from a hereditary witch.
So, the reason my website hasn't been updated is that I have been busy trying to live up to my
subtitle.

If you have had a hard time finding my website, please forgive me...I have been moving it to a new server.
Somewhere along the line I misplace my Correspondences page. So today I rebuilt it from scratch with a
little different slant. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent Moon - 1 day old
Music: Kim Robertson - Skye Boat Song
I had the sad job of helping my dog, Jack, pass into the Summerland last night. It was
very hard as he was my best companion for over 10 years, going everywhere with me. He was a
stray that I snatched out of the street trying to get hit by a car. A scruffy little
Austrialiam terrier, Jack lived to be 16+ years old.
After discovering that he growled everytime someone played with his hind quarters, I was
inspired to pretend to play him like a set of bagpipes while I sang, "Bonnie Banks O' Loch
Lomond (You Take the High Road). Every time I touched his hindquarters he'd growl in rhythm
to my singing. I "played" my "Jackpipes" several times to the delight of an audience that
drew peals of laughter. Now, Jack was a little dog but he suffered Great Dane sized
indignity while using him so and replaced his normal growl to a grunt to stop the
entertainment...which was actually funnier for a while. I eventually stopped imposing
the indignity on him and resorted to sculpting all the scruffy hair on his head into
a mohawk. He would shake it off, scowl at me and in a heartbeat forgive my harmless tortures.
He loved going to the cabin in Idaho, and one summer, Awran sketched a portrait of him that
will remain a treasure forever and can be seen HERE.
A smaller version will adorne his crematory casket.
I will do a proper update of the website soon. I've been working on the first book of my series in
earnest and hope to have it ready for submission in the next few months.

MM All~
August and September at the Cabin. We built a new bridge, took out some dead trees,
hauled rock and gravel, played on the Alpine Slides in Jackson Hole, did Yellowstone,
ate too much, read some books, celebrated a birthday, roasted marshmallows in the fire
place, went ATVing for almost two full days, discovered the most beautiful spot on earth
at the mouth of the Buffalo river, (click on ***NEW Pictures***
HERE) laughed a lot, caught up with family...
experience snow for the first time (click on ***NEW Pictures***
HERE)
(We've always gone to the cabin in deep summer.) We met a new critter and played with
our bat, Renfield, (click on ***NEW Pictures*** HERE.) And click on ***NEW Pictures*** HERE
to see the new Wildflowers. Or just begin at the beginning of my newly reorganized galleries
INDEX .
I finished a short story that I haven't had a minute to edit. Worked on my Lexicon and
it's scary...I'm only through the "A"s. I've done
a better job in Defining Terms with Pantheism by adding
Animism as the oldest form of religion. The Book of Gen has two updates, an amusing
***NEW*** anecdote in my Magickal Records under "Summer
1989?" and entitled "The most absurd things work for a witch." And by popular request a
biography of Mother's life .
October and November were filled with preps for Arawn's first Art show, preps for
the Halloween party, (and no, I still haven't developed the pictures, yet) preps for
me working at an alternative city paper and preps for me Mum-in-Law's new Tea shop. I
have been skipping sleep about once or twice a week to get everything done. So.....
I am where? And you are...who?

Moon Phase: Waning Balsamic Moon - 28 days old
Music: Pearl Jam: Black
With all this talk about leaving for the cabin in a few days, I decided to post
HERE a few pictures of our hideaway.
Once dubbed "Whispering Pines," the name never stuck. We renamed it "Susan's Hide"
after my foster sister, who loved it more than anyone, if that is possible and whose
father built it.
I've added in the Book of Light: Harper's Hall, two NEW
poems. Well, they are really old poems because the days forbid me writing new. And on
The Soap Box, two essays: Knowledge vs Wisdom which is not new to some of you as it has
been published before and On Skepticism. Both of which can be found
HERE. I will miss everyone. Hopefully, I will return
energized and packing some new musings. B*B

Moon Phase: Waxing New Moon - 3 days old
Music: Staind: Safe Place
It's been an exhausting two months. We cancelled our early vacation to Idaho in trade for
sifting through rubble to find any trinket that might have survived the fire. Still, I
feel guilty for not updating the site for so long so to play catch up, I am adding in
the Book of Light: Harper's Hall, two NEW poems and on
The Soap Box, three NEW essays.
I worked in the Book of Gen: Magickal Records, but I made the mistake of further
exhausting myself working on some of the plane crashes I was telepathically linked to
in the years 1963-1972 because my Sister Witch, Emily
found details to one of my crashes and I wanted to thank her. I added the ever popular
entry Bad Witch, Bad Bad Witch, otherwise known as the amusing Ballad of Cowboy John
1985-1991.
I have also added some new LINKS to that page to promote my
very gifted Sister Witches, Lisa Marie, (pottery), TJ (poetry), and Pari (2 sites as both
Artist and Entrepreneur!), and Brother Witch, Thomas (poetry).
I have added same page target links on those Magickal Records that I have updated so you
can jump from item to item quickly.

Moon Phase:First Quarter, 11 days old
Music: I forgot to put any on...
No updates to the site due to the explosion that totaled my "daughter's" house this last Thursday. Has it been only four days? Time stretches to unreality. I've set up a page HERE to show the pictures we took yesterday when the adjuster was there trying to assess the interior losses.
Date: May 19th, 2004
Moon Phase: Dark Moon, 9 hours, 54 minutes
Music: Tool - "H"
Added a picture of our cabin bat, Renfield and a couple pics of the kittens, Ming & Taja in the Galleries:Familiars All (click the snow bunny picture). Also there are two new poems in the Book of Light:Harper's Hall. Plus, I added a target location link on those pages to quick-find the ***New*** stuff.

Moon Phase: Waning, Dissemination Moon, 20 days old
Music: Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time
The Blessings of Cybele, Artemis, Rhea, Demeter, Astarte, Freya, Tara and Kwan Yin on those who have earned this Mother’s Day.
This week, I keep half a promise: two new essays can be found in the Book of Light, The Soap Box, both are marked *NEW*. Circle had an amazing new experience on Full Moon - very intriguing and rewarding. We are exploring new territory. I've been rushing around visiting my husband's paintings at three different shows and updating his website. It’s only 10:30 and I’m sleepy – unheard of!

Moon Phase: Waxing Gibbous Moon, 12 days old
Music: Jai Uttal - Rama Raghava
Nothing new completed yet but working on Feast Days entries and two new essays. So - Bealtaine blessings! A lovely day spent with a warm sun, a cool breeze, games, Celtic harp and pipes, food AND Cerridwin made The Queen's Berries! To die for. Sir Kaheem and I fought over the white chocolate ones! And we both won. The night ended belly dancing around a balefire. Although not a maid any more, I played the part for the holiday and wore my hair up with flowers. Then let my husband take it down! Hail Spring! Onward to Summer!

Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent Moon, 4 days old
Music: Fuel - Innocent
The Book of Rituals' sad neglect is lifted a bit with a post in the Wheel of the Year - You now can find our Samhain Coven Ritual. Eleven new poems are posted in the Book of Light: Harper's Hall - at the urging of my new friend and list-sister, TJ. Most of my poetry is non-pagan and so not posted. But neither is hers and she posts on a pagan list. She made me think, if I live the magick, then the life lessons I've discovered are still pagan processed - as I have lived nothing else. Let me know if it was a good decision.

Moon Phase: Waning Balsamic Moon, 27 days old
Music: Queensryche - Anybody Listening
The year is nearly half over and I’m still in New Year’s mode. Big changes. I’ve added three galleries of my photography to the site and an index page. I’ve probably put up too many, but you should have seen what I resisted. I have hundreds. I haven't updated all the links to the galleries yet. Just on the main pages. I’ve also changed the small illustration for The Elements in Correspondences with a different sketch by Danny Roberts. Cause it was prettier. I’d have added a new essay for the Soap Box but my computer ate it. Sigh. It is about half-way reconstructed. Next time.

Moon Phase: Waxing Moon, 12 days old
Music: TLC - Unpretty
April’s Fool~ Candles flicker under pictures of my beloved sister - S. I still miss her so much. Her birthday was today. But the gods are good and so that it would never be a sad day – they sent us our Fair Lady ten years ago whose birthday is ALSO today. Fair Lady was the female herald at our handfasting, who married our favorite Buddha. Dear friends both, as well as family.
Winds whip and call my name. The sky is restless. Sigh. How do you decide what to put into an online Book of Shadows, when your offline BOS is 1000 pages? Sigh. Where's my magick 8 ball when I need it? Uploading two additional anecdotes to the bottom of “Growing Up in a Magickal Home” under the *New* divider.
Date: March 29th, 2004
Moon Phase: Waxing Moon, 9 days old
Music: Nora Jones
A horned moon last week, then nearly a Diana’s Moon with Venus almost in the right position to be the point of her arrow. Sigh. We've been having Gardening Days. Planting, cleaning, sitting by the fountain, with the scent of Alyssum in the air. “Griff,” my English Griffin, is so much happier now with flowers at his feet.~~
I’ve updated the Book of Rituals opening page, adding the Rites of Passage page and moved the Wiccaning/ Handfasting links from one to the other. Corrected BoR bad links. Added two more anecdotes to the bottom of “Growing Up in a Magickal Home” under the *New* divider.
Date: March 11th, 2004
Moon Phase: Waning Moon 20 days old
Music: Brother (It is beyond me, why a pair of Scotsman from Australia who dress in t-shirts and kilts (regiment even!), and play rock guitars, bagpipes and digery-dos prepares me for Irish Day.)
Days are hot; the nights delicious. Time to retreat to the garden. Tagged: all pages under construction. Added: (or moved from Spell Crafting) Spells to BoS. Added: Prayers & Chants, Full & New Moon rites to BoR. Intros & entries to Magickal Records, fixed contact link, dead links, added art, rearranged things and hid a link I can't find. Life is a wonder. :^)

Moon Phase: First Crescent
Music: Soundtrack - Life is a House. (moderate movie - great soundtrack)
It has been raining for three days. Husband has gone to class. I just want to curl up in front of a fireplace, Lady Familiar curled in my lap and read or watch a good movie. Last night's New Crescent Moon sat amber-rose on the horizon following a blazing sunset. The Moon was so close to being a horned moon, it almost counted. Next month.
Brown Eyes and Blue Eyes are in San Francisco visiting brother, Birdie. Mr. Wizard is MIA. Red has company. Royal and I are having lovely e-mail chats.
Date: Friday February 13th, 2004
Moon Phase: Last Quarter Moon
Music: Linkin Park
It's a beginning. Friday the 13th was the day upon which both my Mother and daughter, Blue Eyes, was born. It has always been a good luck day in our family. So on this good luck day, I launch the site.
