Some people believe all that parents, tutors, and kindred believe.
They take their principles by inheritance,
and defend them as they would their estates,
because they are born heirs to them. - Alan W. Watts

This was taken in Mother's back yard on the Vernal Equinox 1975.

Mother's roses were in bloom and it was the golden hour of late afternoon, so for Mother, it was picture taking time. We were having a bar-b-que in the early Spring weather which was beautiful. I sat swinging in her swing while S.S.G. and Mother sat in the lounge chairs. The apricot trees were in bloom and soon we would be canning apricot jam. The daffodils, lilacs and baby bancsie rosea were all in bloom. Evening followed soft and cool.

I remember Mother saying that she hated this picture because she wasn't feeling well, having a touch of the flu. She thought she looked tired. Beloved faces never took bad. Still, she dressed for the day. It was an accident that S.S.G. and I dressed in the same color. We looked quite ready for a ritual.
