My Book of Rituals is the second book of my inclusive Book of Shadows. (On paper it is divided into two sections; under the title of Wheel of the Year, one finds rituals for Esbats (moon rituals) and Sabbats (Seasonal Holidays) and Feast Days (god/dess & hero celebrations). Under the title of Rites of Passage are rituals for birth, marriage, crossings, separations, etc.) For the website, I break out Esbats ((Dark (New) and Full Moons)) and list Seasonal Holidays and Feast Days under Wheel of the Year. I also break out Rites of Passage individually.

Below are Circle Casts and Quarter Calls. Other's can be found in some of the rituals. And two other rituals can be found set within Rituals. Within the Full Moon Ritual you will find the ritual for Drawing Down the Moon. This ritual can be done separately or within the Full Moon Ritual. And within the MidSummer Ritual is the ritual for Drawing Down the Sun. This Sun ritual is different from the those you may have seen as Male Empowering rituals that is similar to the Moon ritual.

With apologies, I will always have more Quarter Calls than Circle Casts because they are more natural to me in solitary work. I was intimately trained with the energies of the classical Elements. And they are first and always my first magickal guardians and aides.

Circle Casts

North is the direction of the ancestors, so every circle cast, every quarter call begins with a salute to the North.

My Lady Circle Cast***

By the air that is her breath
By the fire that is her spirit,
By the water that is her blood
By the earth that is her body
I cast a circle of Goddess light
On this her glorious moonlit night

Closing My Lady Circle

With the earth that is Her form,
With the water that is Her life,
With the fire that is Her spark,
With the air that is Her sigh
The circle cast, I now untie

Quarter Calls

Greeting

I greet the East direction of Air, Radiant One and Brother
Guard my circle and guide my steps as I enchant tonight.

I greet the South direction Fire, Fiery One and Lover,
Guard my circle and guide my steps as I enchant tonight.

I greet the West direction of Water, Mystic One and Sister
Guard my circle and guide my steps as I enchant tonight.

I greet the North direction of Earth, Fertile One and Mother
Guard my circle and guide my steps as I enchant tonight.

Release

Powers of the North and Earth, go with care.
Until we meet again.

Powers of the West and Water, go with peace.
Until we meet again.

Powers of the South and Fire, go with love.
Until we meet again.

Powers of the East and Air, go with clarity.
Until we meet again.

Moon Phase Quarters

East: By the power of the Old Moon,

West: By the power of the New Moon
Her waxing - promising growth.
